Overview

Calcetto

"The Italian style Calcetto soccer is a game played with a full size ball on a field with lines to emphasize the great control and spectacular passing that is such a huge part of the beautiful game. Calcetto is played on a synthetic grass surface with a regulation soccer ball. NSSA is the only local facility with three fields for simultaneous play."

  • 6v6 matches for optimum training/enjoyment.
  • Match play with sidelines and a regulations size soccer ball.
  • No walls!
  • No other indoor center on the North Shore offers this style of play.
  • Increased field space allows for many new teams and divisions.
  • From the President: "We're very excited to be able to offer indoor soccer without walls. The quality of the indoor game is greatly diminished by the presence of walls and lack of out of bounds territory. When a shot is missed, it should not bounce right back on the field for another try, that's not how soccer is played. I'm thrilled to be able to offer local players a more realistic indoor soccer environment." - NSU Club President Stefano Franciosa
